The Disability, Ageing and Lifestyle (DAL) Expo is returning to the Adelaide Showground from Friday 16 to Saturday 17 October 2026.

Adelaide Metro will be part of this free event supporting people in the disability, ageing and lifestyle sectors, including families and carers.

Our team will be there to:

  • Answer questions about how we’re making public transport safe and convenient
  • Show the accessibility features of one of our hybrid buses in a ‘try before you ride’ experience to help people with a mobility device practice boarding a bus and manoeuvring around the accessible area.

Virtual reality (VR) headsets will also be available, allowing visitors to experience different public transport journeys and features on a bus, train and tram.

This is a great opportunity for those who haven’t used public transport before to experience an Adelaide Metro service in a controlled and supportive environment.

Our staff will also be keen to chat about the enhanced BindiMaps products, PathView and TruStep, to support your wayfinding at select Adelaide Metro locations.

Travelling to the DAL Expo is easy using Adelaide Metro buses, trains and trams.

  • Several buses will service stops right outside the Adelaide Showground on Goodwood Road.
  • Tram services will service Stop 3 Goodwood Rd, which is a short walk to the Adelaide Showground.
  • The accessible Adelaide Showground Railway Station is just next door.

Use the Adelaide Metro journey planner to find the best route for you.
