From Monday 12 October 2026, 68 bus timetables will be updated across the Adelaide Metro network. Timetable updates include services across Adelaide, the Hills, and some school bus routes.
These updates will apply to services during peak and off-peak times, supporting:
- improved service reliability
- easier connections between services
- improved frequency.
Based on real-world passenger data, the updates better align services with actual passenger demand, journey patterns and travel times between stops.
Adelaide Metro will continue to monitor the performance of these changes and ensure timetables reflect actual running times.
Key service updates coming this October
68 bus timetables will be updated across the Adelaide Hills and metropolitan area.
Timetables will be updated to reflect actual travel times, journey patterns and passenger demand.
Some 506 services operating from the City to Tea Tree Plaza via the O-Bahn will be shortened to operate between Paradise Interchange and Tea Tree Plaza via Para Hills.
This includes:
- 11 morning peak services departing the city.
- 9 afternoon peak services departing from Tea Tree Plaza.
This affects passengers travelling against peak hour traffic.
Some 190 services will be replaced by 195/196 services, which includes:
- 10 services between 8:00 am and 3:00 pm from Mitcham Shopping Centre to the City.
- 11 services between 8:30 am and 3:15 pm from the City to Mitcham Shopping Centre.
197X services from Coromandel Station to the city will be modified to operate as an all stops service.
The T801 service operating from Mt Barker to the City will replace the 860F service, creating a simpler city service.
Selected T863 services operating from Aldgate to the City will be extended from Aldgate to Mt Barker and renumbered to T801 services.
- This will increase T801 and 801 services along Glen Osmond Road and provide additional services to Verdun, Hahndorf and Mt Barker.
An additional 823 service operating between Crafers and Cleland Wildlife Park will be added on weekdays and weekends.
The 834 service operating from Verdun to Lobethal will operate hourly on weekdays, with 5 new services added in each direction on the weekends.
The 835 service operating from Lobethal to Mt Barker will be shortened to operate between Lobethal and Verdun and renumbered to 834.
- A morning and evening service will continue to operate between Lobethal and Mt Barker.
- Customers on the shortened 835 service (now 834) can continue to Mt Barker or the city by transferring to a T801 or 801 service in Verdun.
The 834A and 835A will be renumbered to 834 and 835.
- One 834A service will continue to operate between Lobethal and Verdun via Charleston.
865, 865C, 865S, 866, 866A and 866R services will be consolidated into a single 866 route operating between Aldgate, Heathfield, Stirling, Stirling East and Crafers.
Additional off-peak and weekend services will be introduced, and additional 861 services along Glen Osmond Road will be added.
The 894 service operating from Aldgate to Blackwood Interchange will be shortened to start and finish at Crafers Park ‘n’ Ride.
- 14 additional 894 services will operate on weekdays and existing 894H services will continue to operate to Heathfield High School.
- Customers on the shortened 894 service can continue to Mt Barker or the city by transferring to a T800, T801 or 801 services in Crafers.
The 830F service operating from Lobethal to the City will become the T830.
The 841F service operating from Nairne to the City will become the T841 service.
T services will allow passengers to board and get off at:
- Stop 1 Glen Osmond Road
- Stop 3 Glen Osmond Road
- Stop 5 Glen Osmond Road
- Stop 8 Glen Osmond Road
- Stop 13 Glen Osmond Road.
The T842 operating from Nairne to the City via Mt Barker will be replaced by the T841.
An additional T800 service will be introduced to provide additional capacity in the morning peak period.
Three 839R services operating at night and offering a detour-on-request option will be replaced by 839 services.
One additional morning peak 820 service will be introduced operating from Burnside to the City via Greenhill Rd.
The 837 service operating from Nairne to Mt Barker will have additional time added to the timetable to improve service reliability for customers.
The following school bus services will be updated:
- The 874 from Oakbank School to Lobethal will be replaced by the 834 route from Verdun to Lobethal.
- The 878 from Nairne to Heathfield High School and 879 from Woodside to Heathfield High School will be operated by one articulated bus instead of two due to reduced demand.
- The 882 from Mt Barker to Concordia College and 888 from Concordia College to Verdun will have their weekday timetables aligned with school bell times.
- The 883 from Aldgate to Mitcham Girls High School morning service and the 887 Mt Barker to Mercedes College evening service will be extended to Scotch College in response to community feedback.
- The 655 from St Michael’s College to Port Adelaide will travel via Carnarvon Terrace and Fletcher Road in response to community feedback.
- The 621 from Paradise Interchange to Morialta Secondary College will have timing changes to arrive at Morialta slightly earlier.
- The Route 400 service departing Elizabeth Interchange at 8:11 am will no longer detour via Salisbury High School.
