The Royal Adelaide Show is turning 100 this year, with celebrations taking place from Saturday 30 August to Sunday 7 September 2025.
Adelaide Metro is providing extra public transport services during the Show, with more than 30 services travelling to the event. Buses and trains will stop within a short walking distance to the Adelaide Showgrounds at a dedicated bus interchange and train station.
Due to the tram closures, regular Adelaide Metro services will operate to the South Terrace Tram Stop during this event. Substitute buses will continue to operate, with Stop 4 Leader St being the closest stop to the Showgrounds.

Regular Adelaide Metro bus and trains will run, as well as additional express and shuttle bus services.

School groups can request a group booking ticket with Adelaide Metro for cheaper fares.

Seniors can travel for free to the Royal Adelaide Show with a valid Seniors Card.
Children under the age of 5 can travel for free on all public transport when accompanied by a fare paying adult.
On weekends, two children under the age of 15 can travel for free with an adult. Adults must have a valid Daytrip ticket, which can be bought on a metroCARD or via the Adelaide Metro Buy & Go app.
21W Show Shuttle Bus
This shuttle bus service will operate Monday to Friday of the Royal Adelaide Show, between the city and the Adelaide Showgrounds. The 21W will operate from Stop V1 Currie St to Goodwood Rd bus interchange.
- Frequency: Every 20 minutes.
- From Currie St between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm
- From Adelaide Showgrounds between 10:00 am to 11:10 pm
23W Show Shuttle Bus
This shuttle bus service will operate on Saturday and Sunday of the Royal Adelaide Show, between Stop V1 Currie St and Goodwood Rd bus interchange. This service will also stop at selected UPark locations.
- Frequency: Every 15 minutes
- From Currie St between 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.
- From Adelaide Showgrounds between 7:35 am and 11:10 pm.
This service is free for UPark users who have a valid parking ticket.
22W O-Bahn Show Shuttle Bus
The 22W express bus service will operate every day of the Royal Adelaide Show. This service will operate from Tea Tree Plaza Interchange via the O-Bahn, stopping at Paradise and Klemzig Interchanges, then directly to the Adelaide Showgrounds.
Three trips will depart each morning from Golden Grove Interchange. You can also catch any regular O-Bahn services to the city and connect the 21W Show bus shuttle.

Train:
Show-goers can catch the Flinders or Belair rail lines to the Adelaide Showgrounds Station.
Express Seaford services will stop at the Adelaide Showground Railway Station and will operate on weekdays and weekends between:
- 9:40 am and 2:45 pm.
- 5:40 pm and last service.
Tram:
During the Royal Adelaide Show, tram closures will be in place and will not operate to stops close to the Adelaide Showgrounds.
Trams will continue to operate from the Adelaide Entertainment Centre and Botanic Gardens to the South Terrace Tram Stop. Substitute buses will continue to operate, with Stop 4 Leader St being the closest stop to the Showgrounds.
