Let’s create our public transport future together!
We are developing a Public Transport Strategy that will set the vision for public transport in South Australia for the next 30 years. It will provide the direction on how we create a public transport network to meet the needs of South Australia, now and in the future.
We also recognise the unique needs and challenges of our regional communities. This is why we are also undertaking a Regional Public Transport Review.
To develop the Public Transport Strategy, we will build upon what you’ve already told us during consultation for the recently published Transport Strategy. We will engage further on key aspects of public transport so we have a deeper understanding of what’s important to you.
Our Public Transport Strategy will be used to inform planning for public transport initiatives. This ensures we make strategic, informed decisions about what we prioritise and invest in.
It will help us deliver a more resilient, reliable and accessible public transport network. As a result, it will boost economic growth and encourage more sustainable ways to travel.
The South Australian Government has committed to reviewing regional public transport services. The goal is to provide access to integrated, accessible and effective public transport services that meet local needs.
This detailed review will help us better understand the public transport priorities of people living and working in regional areas. This allows us to better cater for them in the future.
The review is focusing on identifying key needs and gaps in current services for regional communities. It will recommend improvements for the regional public transport network in South Australia. This ensures these communities are well-serviced and connected.
