The Adelaide metropolitan rail network is a neighbour to hundreds of residential areas across metropolitan Adelaide.  The Rail Care program supports greening in these neighbourhoods with the care of garden precincts at stations, rail revegetation projects and trees.

Since 2015, up to 10,000 native plant species have been planted along the rail network with support from volunteers with greening initiative projects.

Our green assets contribute to neighbourhood amenity, cooling of suburbs and urban biodiversity.
