Adelaide Oval will once again be hosting a range of 2022 Toyota AFL Premiership Season matches.

Make getting home safe your goal and catch FREE Think! Road Safety Footy Express (AO and AOX) services to and from your next Adelaide Oval match.

Footy Express services are available across metropolitan Adelaide.

There are also dedicated regional bus services operating to and from Adelaide Oval.

Getting home

AO and AOX buses depart up to 45 minutes after the match from a dedicated interchange adjacent to Adelaide Oval.

Train

Additional trains operate before and after matches at Adelaide Oval.

* The Full Gawler rail line will be temporarily closed and no trains will be operating. Substitute buses will be available, including for AFL matches and other major events.

Tram

  • The Festival line from Glenelg to Adelaide Oval arrives at and departs from the Festival Plaza tram stop on King William Road, a short walking distance to Adelaide Oval.
  • The Glenelg and Botanic lines arrive at and depart from the front of the Adelaide  Railway Station on North Terrace.  Walk through the Railway Station and across the Riverbank Bridge to Adelaide Oval.

Check the digital display on the front of the tram before you board to avoid travelling in the wrong direction or getting on the wrong tram.

Bus stop closures

Stop 2 Montefiore Road inbound will be relocated just south of War Memorial Drive on the Morphett Street Bridge from 4pm.

Between 9pm and 11pm, the following bus stops will be closed:

  • Stops A2 and A3 King William Road
  • Stop 1 King William Road (east and west side)
  • Stop 1 Sir Edwin Smith Avenue (north side)
  • Stops 1 and Z2 King William Road
    • Buses will drop off at stop Y2 King William Street

Taxi ranks

Temporary taxi ranks will be installed at the following locations:

  • King William Road - west side, south Pennington Terrace
  • Pennington Terrace - south side, east of main car park entry
  • Montefiore Road - east side, north of War Memorial Drive
  • War Memorial Drive - east of Montefiore Road (disabled only)
  • The Casino taxi rank will be closed from 9.15pm to 10.30pm

COVID-19 precautions

We ask customers to always wear a mask when on board public transport and at stations and interchanges and maintain physical distancing as much as possible.

Customers need to please exercise judgement as to how they travel and act in accordance with health advice: practice hygiene measures, cough into tissues or the crook of your arm, and use alcohol-based hand sanitiser and wash your hands with soap frequently.

Please avoid travelling on public transport if you are not feeling well.

Please remember, when you're at the footy you must wear a mask when entering, exiting and moving around the stadium, but you don't need one while you're in your seat.
