Late-night and weekend partial Seaford rail line closures

When: From Saturday 28 March 2020

As part of the Meyer Road Bridge replacement project, temporary late-night and weekend closures will take place across the Seaford Rail line during March, April and May 2020.

These works and closures have been scheduled during lower patronage periods to minimise the impact for customers.

Below you can find information on:

 

April 9-13 weekend partial closure

From approximately 7.30pm on Thursday 9 April 2020 to last service Monday 13 April (inclusive), the Seaford line will be closed between Brighton and Seaford.

Train services will continue to operate between Adelaide and Brighton, with substitute buses operating between Brighton and Seaford, as close as possible to the existing timetable.

Last full service

The last full services to run will be:

  • Adelaide to Seaford departing 6.41pm Thursday 9 April. The following train departing Adelaide at 7pm terminate at Brighton at 7.27pm.
  • Seaford to Adelaide departing 7pm Thursday 9 April.

Substitute buses

Below are timetables for the substitute bus services:

Thursday 9 April 2020

Friday 10, Saturday 11, Sunday 12 and Monday 13 April 2020

Resume to normal services

Trains will then resume their normal timetabled services Tuesday morning 14 April 2020.

 

April 20-23 night partial closure

From approximately 8pm on Monday 20 April 2020 to last service Thursday 23 April (inclusive), the Seaford line will be closed between Brighton and Seaford.

Train services will continue to operate between Adelaide and Brighton, with substitute buses operating between Brighton and Seaford, as close as possible to the existing timetable.

Last full service

The last full services to run will be:

  • Adelaide to Seaford departing 7pm Thursday 20 April. The following train departing Adelaide at 7.30pm terminate at Brighton at 7.57pm.
  • Seaford to Adelaide departing 7.30pm Monday 20 April.

Substitute buses

Further information about substitute buses will be available soon.

Resume to normal services

Trains will then resume their normal timetabled services Friday morning 24 April 2020.

 

May 10 weekend partial closure

The Seaford line will be partially closed between Brighton and Seaford from 12.30 am Sunday 10 May 2020 for the day. To facilitate this closure the last Seaford departing Adelaide on Saturday 9 May will terminate at Brighton at 12.27am.

Train services will continue to operate between Adelaide and Brighton, with substitute buses operating between Brighton and Seaford, as close as possible to the existing timetable.

Last full service

The last full services to run will be:

  • Adelaide to Seaford departing 11.30pm Saturday 9 May. The final train departing Adelaide at midnight will terminate at Brighton at 12.27am.
  • Seaford to Adelaide departing 11.30pm Saturday 9 May.

May 24 weekend partial closure

The Seaford line will be partially closed between Brighton and Seaford from 12.30 am Sunday 24 May 2020 for the day. To facilitate this closure the last Seaford departing Adelaide on Saturday 23 May will terminate at Brighton at 12.27am.

Train services will continue to operate between Adelaide and Brighton, with substitute buses operating between Brighton and Seaford, as close as possible to the existing timetable.

Last full service

The last full services to run will be:

  • Adelaide to Seaford departing 11.30pm Saturday 23 May. The final train departing Adelaide at midnight will terminate at Brighton at 12.27am.
  • Seaford to Adelaide departing 11.30pm Saturday 23 May.

Substitute buses

Trains will then resume their normal timetabled services Monday morning 25 May 2020.
