More train services, more often from 22 April

When: From Sunday 22 April 2018

From Sunday 22 April 2018, train passengers will have more services, more often.

Train service frequency will increase with scheduled services at least every 30 minutes from morning peak to last service every week day and all day on weekends on the Belair, Gawler, Outer Harbor and Seaford train lines.

Other changes highlighted below will also improve the efficiency and reliability of services. Online timetables are available below with printed timetables to be available before new services begin. 

Belair line

  • Increased services stopping at Millswood station
  • Reduced travel times on some services

Gawler line

  • improved capacity, especially during peak periods

Outer Harbor line

  • Three morning trains originating from Osborne will run express from Woodville to Adelaide
  • Four morning trains originating from Outer Harbor will run express from Port Adelaide to Adelaide
  • Four morning peak services commencing at Glanville
  • Trains commencing at Glanville and Grange will now service all stations 
  • Reduced travel times on some services
  • 15 minute morning peak frequency at certain stations

Seaford line

  • Improved overall travel times by up to two minutes on most services
  • Increased number of semi-express services in morning and afternoon peak 
  • Significant improvement to transit times of up to six minutes for passengers travelling to and from Seaford Meadows, where there are 550 car parks at the FREE Park 'n' Ride
  • Services in the morning peak now commencing from Noarlunga Centre, next to the FREE Park 'n' Ride at the Noarlunaga Interchange
