On Saturday 12 May the AFL game time for the Adelaide Crows vs Geelong match has been changed from 1.15pm to 12.45pm due to ‘Black Caviar’ racing at Morphettville.

All SA Lotteries Footy Express services will be running 30 minutes earlier on that day.

Due to construction of the $407.5m Southern Expressway Duplication project Seacombe Road and Elizabeth Road will be closed from the 5th of May for an extended period as a result of bridge extension works. Beach Road will remain open but will have changed traffic conditions.

Delays are expected and we ask that customers allow additional travel time during the closures.

Seacombe Road bridge closure – Bus Detours

Seacombe Road will be closed between South Road and Diagonal Road from Saturday 5^th of May 2012 for approximately 6 months. The 200, 200B, 640, N721, 733, 734 and 734S services will detour during this time.

A shuttle bus enabling passengers to connect to their usual service will operate via Sturt Road, Diagonal Road, Miller Street and Seacombe Road before terminating at Marion Centre Interchange. The shuttle will also provide a service for passengers in the area who would normally catch the 200, 733 or 734 services to and from Marion Centre Interchange. Please see attached flyer for download with timetable information for the shuttle (PDF 2.3Mb). Signage will be in place at all affected bus stops.

This detour will affect travel along Main South Road, Seacombe Road and Diagonal Road. Buses will detour via Sturt Road to and from Marion Centre Interchange.

Elizabeth Road bridge closure – 722 Bus Detour

Elizabeth Road will be closed from Saturday 5th of May 2012 for approximately 10 months. All 722 services will detour via Beach Road. Signage will be in place at closed stops directing passengers to their nearest stop.

Beach Road bridge works – changed traffic conditions

702A, 702C, 721, T721, T721X, 721A, 721F, 721L, 721, N721, 743 and 744 should expect service delays from Monday 7th of May for approximately 14 months. Beach Road will remain open to traffic with restrictions: one lane open in each direction and reduced speed restrictions.

School Bus 320M (am service only) will be detoured as below:

From Flagstaff Hill, Marion Road, Sturt Road, Diagonal Road, Miller Street, Seacombe Road, Diagonal Road, Sturt Road, then continue via normal route.

Signage will be in place at Stop 31 Seacombe Road (southern side) redirecting passengers to the adjacent stop across the road.

School Bus D (am service): will be detoured as below:

From South Road, Majors Road, Ocean Boulevard, Brighton Road, Seacombe Road, Calum Grove, Braeside Avenue,Seacombe Road to School Bus stop.

School Bus D (pm service): will be detoured as below:

School Bus N (am service): will be detoured as below:

From Monday 23 April 2012, all 503X and 556X services will stop at Klemzig Station as part of a trial to provide additional services for passengers travelling from Klemzig Station to the City on weekday mornings.

During this trial, these services will operate as route number 503 or 556 as per the timetables below.

Due to pipe works along Grange Road, 374 Adelaide Metro services will be detoured from Monday 16 April until further notice.  

The following Adelaide Metro services will apply:

374 to WEST LAKES – normal route to Hoskin Avenue then via Kidman Avenue, Frogmore Road, Grange Road, Falkirk Avenue, Airdrie Avenue, Kingborn Avenue then via normal route.

374 to KIDMAN PARK – normal route to Kingborn Avenue, then via Airdrie Avenue, Falkirk Avenue, Grange Road, Frogmore Road, Kidman Avenue, Hoskin Avenue then via normal route.

Stop 20 Hallett Road(Western side) will be closed from Tuesday 10 April 2012 until further notice due to ETSA works. 

141 & 580 buses will not service stop 20 Hallett Road. Signage will direct passengers to the closest alternative stop, stop19 Hallett Road. 

141 bus services to the City will start one minute later than the timetabled departure times for stop 20 Hallett Road.

Due to roadworks on Anzac Highway bus stop Z1 on the eastern side of the road will be closed for approximately two weeks.  Signage will be installed directing customers to the nearest alternative stop.

Routes 241, 245, 248, 248F, 263, 265, 719, 721, 722, 723, 725F,727F, N262, N721 passengers will be directed to stop1 Anzac Highway

Routes 167, 167C, 168, 169 services passengers will be directed to stop 1A Richmond Road.

The 281 bus service will detour due to Harris Road closure between Ilford Street and Ascot Avenue from Tuesday 10 April 2012 until further notice.

The 281 will detour as follows:

281 to the City-  normal route to Wilpena Avenue then via Ilford Street, North East Road, Ascot Avenue, Harris Road then via normal route.  

281-281K from the City - normal route toHarris Road then via Ascot Avenue, North East Road, Ilford Street, Wilpena Avenue and then via normal route.

Closed Bus stops

Stop 14A Ilford Street will be missed and signage directing passengers to their nearest alternative stop at Stop 13 Vale Street or temporary Stops in Wilpena Avenue.

From Tuesday 10 April 2012 until further notice the 204, 208 & 281 Adelaide Metro bus services will detour between 7pm and 7am Monday to Saturday nights due to night road works on Walkerville Terrace.

The following detour will be in place for the 204 and 208 Adelaide Metro services until further notice:

204 & 208 will detour via the following:

204-208 to the City – via normal route to North East Road, then via Stephen Terrace, Walkerville Terrace then via normal route.

204-208 from the City – via normal route to Walkerville Terrace, then via Stephen Terrace, North East Road then via normal route.

The 281 will detour as follows:

281 to the City – normal route to Walkerville Terrace, then via Smith Street, North East Road, Stephen Terrace, Walkerville Terrace then via normal route.

281 from the City – Walkerville Terrace then via Stephen Terrace, North East Road, Smith Street, Walkerville Terrace then via normal route.

Bus stops 10A and 11 to and from the City and stop 10A from the City will not be serviced between 7pm and 7am Monday to Saturday nights.  Signage will be installed directing passengers to the closest alternative stops for the 204, 208 & 281 services between 7pm and 7am Monday to Saturday.
Sunday bus services will service their regular route at all times.

702, 723 and 733 Adelaide Metro services will be required to detour due to roadworks on Taylors Avenue.  Bus stop 50T onTaylors Avenue will be closed. 

Buses will detour via the following:

702 – Loop and 723-733 to City – from Taylors Avenue, Malone Street, States Road, Wheatsheaf Road then via normal route.

701 – Loop and 723-733 from City - from Wheatsheaf Road, States Road, Malone Street, Taylors Avenue then via normal route.

A temporary bus stop will be in place on Malone Street near Taylors Avenue.

Stage Two of the Gawler line track upgrade is complete and train services will resume operation and run the full length of the track between Adelaide Railway Station and Gawler Central from 6.20pm on Saturday 31 March 2012.

The GA1, GA2 and GA4 substitute bus services will cease operation as follows:

• Salisbury to Gawler – last bus leaves Salisbury at 6.21pm Saturday 31 March
• Gawler Central to Salisbury – last bus leaves Gawler Central at 7.27pm Saturday 31 March

From first service Sunday 1 April, all train services will operate between Adelaide Railway Station and Gawler Central to the pre closure Gawler train timetable. (371Kb PDF)

Gawler Line Partial Opening – Mawson to Salisbury from Sunday 18 March 2012

	GAWLER LINE OPEN Adelaide to Salisbury Interchange. Train services available.

From Sunday 18 March 2012, the section of the Gawler Central train line between Mawson Interchange and Salisbury Interchange will open, providing train services to an additional five stations along this line.

The Gawler line track and key stations have been upgraded in preparation for new electric trains on the Adelaide transport network in 2013.

Travel Information

What are the changed bus services?
Three train substitute bus services will operate between Gawler Central Station and Salisbury Interchange.

With train services resuming operation to all stations from Mawson Interchange to Salisbury Interchange at all times, the substitute bus services have been changed to reflect on-going analysis of the current closure to provide a more streamlined selection of services.

All Stop Service

GA1 – Extended to operate between Gawler Central Station and Salisbury Interchange servicing all stations at their temporary stops (except Gawler Oval and Munno Para) to provide a direct service along the length of the line

Limited Stop Service

GA2 – Limited stop express service operating to Gawler Station, Smithfield Interchange, Elizabeth Shopping Centre and Salisbury Interchange, all highly patronised stations with Park’n’Ride facilities

Peak

GA4 – Express Services  Express from Gawler Station via Main North Road to Salisbury Interchange.   Operates to Salisbury Interchange in the morning peak and to Gawler Station in the afternoon peak

Removed Service 

Express substitute bus GA3 will no longer operate, being replaced by GA2 services.
