from Sunday 18 September 2011 (for approximately 7 months)

Train substitute bus services GA1, GA2, GA3 and GA4 will operate between Gawler Central and Mawson Interchange arriving later than the usual train service. You may need to catch an earlier service. Train services will run between Mawson Interchange and Adelaide Railway Station

Trains will run between Mawson Interchange and Adelaide Railway Station to a modified timetable.

 What are the bus services?

Four train substitute bus services will operate between Gawler Central and Mawson Interchange.

The substitute bus services have been designed to replace the train service as closely as possible in terms of service frequency and stopping locations. A variety of bus routes will transport commuters efficiently and in most instances provide a faster travel option than regular Adelaide Metro services.

All stop service

GA1 – Operates from Gawler Station to Mawson Interchange servicing all stations (except Gawler Oval and Munno Para) at their temporary stops.

Limited stop service

GA2 – Limited stops between Gawler Central Station, Gawler Station, Smithfield Interchange, Elizabeth Shopping Centre, Salisbury and Mawson Interchanges.

Peak Express Services

GA3 – Express from Elizabeth Shopping Centre via Salisbury Highway to Mawson Interchange.
Operates to Mawson Interchange in the morning peak and to Elizabeth Shopping Centre in the afternoon peak.

GA4 – Express from Gawler Station via Main North Road to Mawson Interchange.
Operates to Mawson Interchange in the morning peak and to Gawler Station in the afternoon peak.
