An integrated approach to transport has been
a key focus for the Public Transport Services Division.
Prior to the first Integrated Transport Plan in 2001, there was
a lack of coordination between the various transport services provided
within regional communities.
The model has provided a way of addressing passenger transport
that brings communities together to identify issues and solutions
according to local need and pool together resources to maximise
services for communities.
To date, the model has generated a lot of interest and has shown
to have benefits far beyond access to services.
