Southern Expressway Duplication Project bus detours
When: From Saturday 5 May 2012
Due to construction of the $407.5m Southern Expressway Duplication project Majors Road and Elizabeth Road will be closed for an extended period as a result of bridge extension works. Beach Road will remain open but will have changed traffic conditions.
Delays are expected and we ask that customers allow additional travel time during the closures.
Seacombe Road bridge - Reopened
Seacombe Road reopened from first service Tuesday 5 March 2013. Regular Adelaide Metro services 200, 640, 733 & N721 resumed.
Majors Road Closure
Majors Road will be closed at the Southern Expressway bridge from Wednesday 13 March 2013 until November 2013.
During this time 734 will continue the detour it followed during the Seacombe Road closure.
734 Bus Detour
The 734 service will continue its detour route until November 2013 due to the closure of Majors Road. During this time, 734 passengers travelling between Marion Centre Interchange and stop 32 Main South Road can catch the regular 733 services. See below for the 734 detour route and stop locations.
Please note: The 734 detour changed as of July 1 2012. The detour route now travels via Morphett Road, Seacombe Road, Ocean Boulevard and Majors Road before joining with its usual route.

Elizabeth Road Bridge Closure
Elizabeth Road is closed from Saturday 5 May 2012 for approximately 10 months.
722 Bus Detour
All 722 services will detour via Beach Road. Signage will be in place at closed stops directing passengers to their nearest stop. See below for the 722 detour route and stop locations:
Elizabeth Road Shuttle Bus Service
A temporary weekday shuttle service, from Wednesday 6 June 2012, will enable passengers to connect to other local public transport services. For more information see the Elizabeth Road Shuttle bus flyer (PDF, 364KB)

Beach Road bridge works – changed traffic conditions
702A, 702C, 721, T721, T721X, 721A, 721F, 721L, 721, N721, 743 and 744 should expect service delays from Monday 7th of May for approximately 14 months. Beach Road will remain open to traffic with restrictions: one lane open in each direction and reduced speed restrictions.
School Bus Services
Seacombe Road reopened from first service Tuesday 5 March 2013. School bus services 320M, School Buses D & N have now resumed regular services.
Detoured School Bus Services
Via Elizabeth Road
School Bus P (AM service) are detoured as below:
From Goldsmith Drive, Beach Road, then continue via normal route.
Reynella East College 722 School Bus and School Bus D (PM service) are detoured as below:
