Outer Harbor and Grange rail line closures from 10pm 24 September to early December 2017

When: From Sunday 24 September 2017 to Sunday 3 December 2017

The Outer Harbor and Grange rail lines will be temporarily closed from 10pm Sunday 24 September to early December 2017 to allow works to continue for the Torrens Rail Junction Project.

FREE substitute buses will be provided operating as close to the existing train timetables as practicable. Temporary timetables are available below.

Outer Harbor and Grange lines

  • Will be fully closed between Adelaide and Outer Harbor/Grange
  • Closed from 10pm Sunday 24 September reopening early December 2017
  • Substitute buses will pick up and set down at stop W1 North Terrace, opposite Adelaide Railway Station
  • Buses will also set down at stops E3 Currie Street and Y2 King William Street on request
  • Passengers attending the SANFL Grand Final at Adelaide Oval will not be affected
  • Please note that due to works for the tram line extension project substitute buses may experience delays in the city

Last Outer Harbor/Grange train services on Sunday 24 September:

Departing Adelaide Railway Station:

  • 7.57pm to Grange
  • 8.12pm to Outer Harbor

Departing Outer Harbor and Grange Stations:

  • 8.33pm from Grange
  • 9.00pm from Outer Harbor

Wheelchair Passengers

All bus substitute services are accessible for all customers, including the elderly, customers with a disability and those travelling with prams.

If you have a large mobility devices that does not fit on buses, please contact the Torrens Transit Mile End depot on 8292 8113 to request an Access Cab or ask the driver.

Bicycle Passengers

Bicycles not permitted on bus substitute services.

The $238 million joint State and Commonwealth project involves separating the freight and passenger rail lines and removing level crossings at Park Terrace and Gibson Street. We thank you for your patience whilst these important works are undertaken.
